All Around Cuba Tour

The tour offers some of the most interesting and popular places and activities both for independent travellers and groups with particular emphasis on getting close to the Cuban people and culture with a couple of days of relaxation at the end of the tour in Guardalavaca beach resort.

Day 1: Welcome to Havana

  • Met & assisted upon arrival at Havana Airport.
  • 40 minute transfer to a 4* colonial hotel in Old Havana to be greeted by a welcome Cuban cocktail.
  • Relax after your flight and enjoy some free time before the start of your programme the next morning.
  • Overnight at hotel with breakfast Hotel options include Telegrafo, Florida, Ofarril & Conde de Villanueva Hotel

Day 2: Cigars, City Tour & Havana Nightlife
  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • At 08H00 meet in the lobby of the hotel for a brief Orientation Meeting.
  • In the morning you will be taken on a tour of a famous cigar factory to see the process of hand-rolled cigars followed by a visit to the Capitolio building. Afterwards travel by horse drawn carriage along the Prado to the Arms Square for a guided walking tour of colonial Havana. Return to hotel.
  • Free time in the afternoon and evening to explore Havana’s sights and maybe go to one of Havana’s top salsa night clubs.
  • Overnight at hotel with breakfast Hotel options include Telegrafo, Florida, Ofarril & Conde de Villanueva Hotel

Day 3: Hemingway, American Cars & Tropicana
  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Morning drive along the Malecon waterfront to Vedado and Miramar district for an alternative view of Havana followed by a visit to Hemingway’s finca in San Francisco de Paula. As you return from La Vigia Farm (Ernest Hemingway Museum), visit Cojimar Village, where Hemingway used to fish and used to spend time with his fishermen friends. Then, make a visit to the Floridita Restaurant Bar where Hemingway enjoyed his daiquiri cocktails followed by a visit to the Christ Statue and the El Moro Fortress overlooking Havana Harbour to enjoy the beautiful sights and relax. Return to hotel.
  • Afternoon free time.
  • In the evening, dinner at a typical Cuban garden restaurant, Rancho Palco. After dinner travel in classic 50’s American cars to enjoy the world famous Tropicana Cabaret (best seats and drinks).

Day 4: Tobacco, Mogotes, Strawberry & Chocolate


  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • The excursion today takes you on a 398 km roundtrip with an early morning departure toward Pinar del Rio province, the most rural of all, to visit tobacco farmers and plantations and take a panoramic tour through the stunning mogotes valley to enjoy the views of Viñales. A rustic lunch by the pre-historic mural followed by visiting the Cueva del Indio (Indian cave). Return to Havana early evening.
  • Dinner at El Patio Restaurant in the Cathedral Square.

Day 5: South Coast & Cienfuegos

  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Leave Havana this morning travelling 300 km south to central Cuba passing by the well known Bay of Pigs until we reach the harbour city Cienfuegos. On the way, stop at the Crocodile Farm in Boca de Guama to visit the farm and have a lobster lunch in one of the restaurants in the area. Continue the trip to Cienfeugos.
  • Check in at La Union Hotel. In the evening visit the Punta Gorda Peninsula with dinner at Palacio del Valle.
  • Overnight at La Union Hotel near Marti Square

Day 6: Trinidad & Beach Resort


  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Today make an 85 km trip from Cienfuegos to Trinidad. Visit the botanical garden of Cienfuegos, the oldest one in Cuba, and travel onto Trinidad. Walking tour of Trinidad City and visit of La Canchanchara. After lunch in Trinidad visit the museum at Palacio Brunet or the History Museum at Palacio Casa Cantero. Free time to explore Trinidad City.
  • Transfer and check-into your beach resort hotel. Enjoy the hotel’s facilities and beach. Dinner at hotel.
  • Overnight at the all inclusive beach resort Brisas Trinidad del Mar Hotel

Day 7: Mountain Waterfalls & Trekking


  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • This morning embark on a 50 km trip to the Sierra Escambray mountain range and follow the Guanayara Trail travelling in Russian trucks or jeeps and some trekking on a panoramic route up to the Topes de Collantes with the possibility on route for a refreshing bath in the waterfalls of Rio Melodiso. Lunch included on excursion.
  • Return in the afternoon to your hotel at Playa Ancon. Dinner at hotel.
  • Overnight at the all inclusive beach resort hotel Brisas Trinidad del Mar

Day 8: Che Guevara & Paradise Island
  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • The 200 km route today takes you from Trinidad - Santa Clara - Remedios and ending at Cayo Santa Maria. Travelling to Santa Clara through Cienfuegos or through Sancti Spiritus. Visit the Ché Guevara mausoleum.
  • Lunch at La Concha restaurant in Santa Clara. Then, proceed to the colonial city of Remedios. Or, after visiting the mausoleum, continue onwards to Remedios and have lunch there at the Mascotte Hotel or in a State restaurant in town. (Attractions - Remedios’ Church or the "Parrandas Remedianas" a local festivity like a carnival parade).
  • Travel north via a 37 km causeway to Cayo Santa Maria.
  • Dinner at hotel. Overnight at the all inclusive beach resort hotel Melia Cayo Santa Maria

Day 9: Sugar Trains & Sugar Cane
  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Leave Cayo Santa Maria this morning travelling 305 km to Yaguajay and Camaguey. Visit steam engines and a sugar museum in the area (preferably in Yaguajay, sugar mill “Obdulio Morales”). Proceed along scenic north route and stop in Yaguajay. Lunch on route (in Moron). From Moron we go further down to Ciego de Avila and take the motorway.
  • Late afternoon arrival in Camaguey. Evening walk along Plaza Agramonte with dinner at Campana de Toledo Restaurant.
  • Overnight at Gran hotel Camaguey  (situated in the city-centre of Camaguey)

Day 10: The Sierra Maestra
  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • A beautiful scenic day travelling east 350 km from Camaguey to Bayamo - El Cobre and Santiago de Cuba. Lunch in Bayamo (Hotel Royalton, or in Jiguani at “Loma de Yarey” and enjoy view of the Cauto River). On the way to Santiago, in the afternoon, visit El Cobre in the Sierra Maestra.
  • Arrive late afternoon in Santiago de Cuba.
  • Hotel Check in.
  • Free time and dinner at hotel.
  • Overnight at hotel Melia Santiago 4* (best in with swimming pool)

Day 11: Casas, Castles & Carnivals
  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • Santiago visit in the morning Moncada - Caserna. Then, continue to city centre for guided walking tour including the visit to Casa Velazquez. Continue to El Morro Castle. Lunch at El Morro restaurant, and visit to the Pirates’ Museum inside the castle.
  • In the afternoon, on the way back to the hotel stop at the city centre to visit the Carnival Museum and enjoy some free time in the heart of town.
  • In the evening dinner at Zun Zun Restaurant.
  • Overnight at hotel Melia Santiago

Day 12: Oriente Experience


  • Breakfast at hotel.
  • In the morning proceed to Oriente from Santiago to Biran, Holguin and Guardalavaca, total journey 190 km. On the way visit Finca Manacas near Biran. Lunch on route at El Mirador de Mayabe or at El Bosque hotel in town.
  • Transfer to a beach resort in Guardalavaca (Brisas Guardalavaca Hotel).
  • 2 nights accommodation at Brisas Guardalavaca Hotel on All Inclusive Basis.
Day 13: Leisure
  • Day at leisure in the beautiful Guardalavaca beach.

Day 14: Transfer to Holguin Airport
  • Transfer to Holguin airport to take a domestic flight to Havana
  • Transfer from Havana Airport to Hotel in Havana
  • Check in to a 4* Colonial Hotel
  • Overnight at hotel with breakfast Hotel options include Telegrafo, Florida, Ofarril & Conde de Villanueva Hotel

Day 15: Farewell Havana
  • Breakfast at the Hotel.
  • Transfer to Havana Airport
