15 day private escorted tour to explore Cuba's natural beauty and cultural heritage. Overnight in Havana, Pinar del Rio, Trinidad, Holguin and Baracoa.
Day 1: Arrival Havana Meet and assist at Havana International Airport and transfer to the 4*Comodoro Hotel.
Day 2: West Cuba - La Terraza & La Moka
Breakfast followed by orientation briefing of your itinerary and local information. Departure to start our journey of discovery traveling West of Havana, to one of Cuba's ecological regions. Arriving at the tourist complex Las Terrazas for an excursion named "Love, Nature and History". We visit Las Terrazas Village Community. Also included is a visit to Cafetal Buenavista, which preserves the ruins of an 18th Century French Coffee Plantation. We have lunch at Rancho Curujey, a restaurant and bar overlooking a lake with geese. Accommodation at La Moka Hotel, one of Cuba's showcase hotels, located in the Sierra del Rosario ecological area. Dinner at hotel.
Day 3: Sugar Plantation, Trekking & Swimming
After breakfast we go on our journey of discovery to the Ruinas de San Pedro y Santa Catalina with a walk through nature trails to La Loma del Taburete following the San Juan River where we can swim and have lunch. Dinner and overnight at La Moka Hotel.
Day 4: Vinales Valley, Caves & Subterranean River
Breakfast. Today we go on an excursion to Viñales Valley, which has the most spectacular scenery in all Cuba, with precipitous knolls the height of skyscrapers. The rare and ancient corn palm grows only here, and is considered a botanical relic. Along our route we will pass tobacco plantations and tobacco curing houses. We visit the Indian Cave with a boat trip along a subterranean milky green river that runs deep beneath a mountain. Lunch can be enjoyed either at the Indian Cave or the Prehistorical Mural restaurant. Dinner and overnight in La Moka Hotel.
Day 5: Central Cuba - Ancient City of Trinidad & Salsa
Breakfast. Departure to the Central part of Cuba along the Autopista Nacional (Cuba's National Highway), through which, we will enjoy different forms and shapes of Cuban fields passing through the Havana and Matanzas provinces. Lunch on the way. Continue to the City of Trinidad, one of the most beautiful ancient cities in Cuba, founded by the Spanish Conqueror Diego Velazquez, where we will enjoy a city tour (depending on the time of arrival). Accommodation at Las Cuevas Hotel. Dinner at a typical Cuban restaurant and evening free to take in the Trinidad nightlife with lots of good Salsa music and dancing.
Day 6: East Cuba - Holguin & Mayabe Breakfast. Departure to the province of Holguin, traveling east, we will pass through some beautiful scenery and experience the friendship of the Cuban people, especially, the peasants. Lunch on route. Overnight at Villa Mayabe in Holguin. Dinner at hotel.
Day 7: Mountain Eco-Resort & Criollo Food
Following breakfast, we explore the area of the Mayabe Valley, which includes an excursion to Finca Mayabe. Our journey will take us to the eco-resort situated in the heart of majestic mountains, south of Mayari, at Villa Pinares de Mayari, which has rustic wooden cottages and log cabins; criollo cuisine lunch is served in the large open dining room. Overnight at Villa Pinares de Mayari. Dinner at Villa.
Day 8: Beautiful Baracoa Breakfast. Our morning adventure is a scenic drive through distinct ecological environments on our way to Baracoa where the exquisite beauty so impressed Columbus. Light lunch on route. In Baracoa we will stay tonight and for the next 3 nights at either the El Castillo Hotel or Porto Santo Hotel. Dinner at hotel.
Day 9: Majayara Natural Park & Baracoa Nightlife
After breakfast, we venture out to see the sights of the city of Baracoa, and afterwards we go to Parque Natural Majayara, an archeological park that features caves with dripstone formations, tunnels and seawater pools for bathing. Lunch at the Parque. After a relaxed dinner at the hotel, we step out for some fun with traditional local music and dance at Casa de La Trova. Overnight at hotel in Baracoa.
Day 10: Islands in a Rain Forest Sea & Taino Indians
Breakfast. Today’s excursion is to The Cuchillas del Toa Biosphere Reserve. The region is one of the oldest geologically in Cuba, and composed mostly of igneous rocks, etched by rivers that rise like islands in a rain forest sea. Lunch. We go into El Yunque, a spectacular tabletop mountain which was god-like to the Taino Indians Here there are tumbling waterfalls and rivers to swim in. Dinner and overnight at hotel in Baracoa.
Day 11: Chill-out on a tropical beach

Breakfast. Free day to enjoy the area of Playa Maguana and the scintillating white beach.
Day 12: Mountains, Guantanamo & Biosphere Reserve Breakfast and early departure traveling today through the amazing mountain region of La Farola with its natural beauty and ravines. We stop on route where you will see the unique arts and crafts of the area. Lunch. Our journey takes us through Guantanamo and then into Baconao Biosphere Reserve where we stay at the 4* all inclusive beach resort, Hotel Bucanero. Dinner at hotel.
Day 13: Santiago de Cuba Following breakfast, we go to Santiago de Cuba, the first city founded by Diego Velazquez, for a city tour and afterwards domestic flight from Santiago de Cuba to Havana. Accommodation at the 4* Comodoro Hotel.
Day 14: Havana City & Hemingway Trail Breakfast. Special Hemingway Trail city tour of Havana visiting the Ambos Mundos Hotel to see the room where Hemingway stayed and wrote some of his works. Go onto the bar, La Bodeguita that he frequented to enjoy his Mojito cocktail and his favourite Cuban food, and then to the El Floridita where he developed the now famous Daiquiri, which you can also enjoy. We travel to his house at La Vigia Farm and onto Cojimar where we have lunch at the restaurant that he frequented, La Terraza. His boat captain, Gregorio Fuentes once lived in the area (as mentioned in the book The old man and the Sea). Evening - Cabaret & Dinner at Havana Café (optional) or dinner at hotel.
Day 15: Arts & Craft Markets Free day for souvenir shopping at the arts and craft markets. Discover a place for you to have lunch. Transfer to Havana International Airport for outbound flight.
